
BEN MANUSAMA is an award winning singer-songwriter who performs under the name Ben Abraham. He has released two albums (Sirens on Secretly Canadian, 2016, and Friendly Fire on Atlantic Records, 2022) and has written songs for artists including Kesha (co-writing her Grammy nominated hit Praying), Ben Platt, Macklemore, Demi Lovato and The Chicks.
Before his music career Ben studied screenwriting at Melbourne’s RMIT University.
Ben was born and raised in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia) and is now based in Los Angeles with his two cats.
LIAM MAGUIRE is a writer, director, and performer from Naarm/Melbourne. He is a graduate of VCA’s Masters of Writing for Performance and WAAPA’s Acting program.
His play Shepherd premiered at Belvoir Downstairs in 2020, after his debut play WRATH played to audiences in Sydney’s KXT theatre and Melbourne’s Fringe Festival Hub. The Sydney Morning Herald’s four-star review of wrath called it ‘darkly hilarious’.
Since the pandemic, Liam has focused on developing his screenwriting career and is excited about the projects he is developing. Shredding, a short film starring Marny Kennedy and Ben Abraham that he was commissioned to write for Charlotte Nicdao of Tough Crowd Pictures is due to premiere later this year.
Liam has worked as a dramaturg on projects such as Antoinette Barbouttis’ Sylvania Waters with Performing Lines, NSW, and more recently Vita Carbone’s Northsiders’ webseries.
As a performer, Liam’s worked professionally in a variety of stage, screen and voiceover. In 2020, he was an associate artist with Theatre Works and a participant in the National Young Writers festival.
Acting credits include Neighbours (Channel 10), City Homicide (Channel 7), Dead Gorgeous (ABC), Lachlan Philpott’s Little Emperors for Malthouse Theatre and most recently Johnny Magic in NBC’s Joe Exotic.
